Bizee's Free Window Closes at $149 a Year

A transparent $99/year for registered agent representation in Mississippi. Address used on filings, same-day legal mail scanning, and compliance reminders are part of the rate.

Fair warning about the author. Registered Agent MS.org competes directly with Bizee for Mississippi registered agent work and charges $99 a year for it, so the closing argument on this page was never in doubt. The Bizee figures, on the other hand, are simply that company's advertised terms as recorded in a July 2026 check. We have not rounded them, reframed them, or attached commentary to the numbers themselves.

The Bundled Months Are Worth Something Real

If you are forming an LLC anyway, Bizee's formation packages include registered agent coverage at no additional cost, and the covered stretch runs from a single quarter up to twelve full months depending on the tier. That is not a gimmick and we are not going to describe it as one. A new Mississippi company has an agent requirement from the day the Certificate of Formation is accepted, and Bizee satisfies it during the exact stretch when a founder's cash is thinnest. Free coverage at the front of a company's life is a legitimate benefit, and the criticism below is about what happens afterward, not about the offer itself.

Then a Clock You Have to Track Yourself

When the included period expires, standalone billing begins at $149 per year. The transition is where people get caught, and the mechanism is dull rather than sinister: three months and twelve months are both "free," but they end on very different dates, and nothing in the purchase makes it Bizee's responsibility to tell you which one you bought. A renewal charge shows up on a card fourteen months into a business that budgeted for zero.

Fifty dollars a year is not dramatic. Over the decade a company might actually operate, it is five hundred.

Mississippi opens its annual report filing window on January 1 and closes it on April 15, and for a domestic LLC the state charges nothing to file. Zero, not a discount. That fact reframes any compliance subscription you may be offered alongside agent service, because the underlying filing here has no state fee attached to it at all. What you would be paying for is the data entry.

The deadline still has consequences. Mississippi assesses no late penalty. What happens instead, about two months past the deadline, is that the Secretary of State can open administrative dissolution proceedings, sending a notice of intent first and allowing the cure window § 79-29-217 provides before anything becomes final. So the valuable service is the reminder, not the filing, and reminders travel inside our $99 instead of arriving on a separate line item. Our Mississippi annual report guide walks the filing itself.

What $99 Covers Here

One tier, one price, and the renewal notice repeats the number you paid the first time. Service of process delivered to our Mississippi registered office is scanned to your portal and emailed the same business day. Our street address appears on your public record in place of yours. State mail touching your entity gets flagged. Ordinary business mail is the single optional extra, scanned at $15 per item, printed here rather than saved for an invoice.

On price we hedge deliberately. BetterLegal advertises $90 a year and that beats us, so "cheapest in Mississippi" is not a phrase we are entitled to. Among the lowest flat annual rates in the state, holding at that figure every year, with scanning inside the fee: that one we will defend.

Moving Off Bizee in Mississippi, in One Paragraph

Short version, because this state made it short: Mississippi publishes no change-of-agent form, so the appointment moves through an amendment on your entity record inside the state portal, coded F0010 and billed at ten dollars. Sign the replacement up first, since an amendment cannot appoint somebody who has not yet taken the job. Then keep an eye on the state's business search until your record lists the new appointment, and leave the Bizee cancellation for last so nothing lapses in between. The full sequence, including what the portal asks for, is on our change of agent page.

Best moment to do it is while the free months are still running, when there is no renewal date pressing on you and no charge already posted.
