Year One Is Free. Year Two Is Not Printed Anywhere.

A transparent $99/year for registered agent representation in Mississippi. Address used on filings, same-day legal mail scanning, and compliance reminders are part of the rate.

You are on a competitor's website and we would rather say it than let you deduce it. Registered Agent MS.org sells Mississippi registered agent service for $99 a year and gains when you choose us. On one point, though, we intend to be stricter than a marketing page usually is. Inc Authority does not print a renewal rate, we could not locate one, and we will not manufacture a stand-in. A fabricated figure would be worth less than the empty space it covered.

The Free Year Is Genuinely Free

Take the offer at face value first. Purchase one of Inc Authority's formation packages and the first twelve months of agent service ride along for nothing. We went looking for the qualifiers that normally accompany an arrangement like that, an activation fee, a shortened term, a penalty for leaving, and the site states none of them.

A brand new Mississippi company gets a functioning agent through the period when a founder's budget is at its tightest. That is worth real money, and it belongs ahead of the criticism rather than buried underneath it.

The Second Number Is Missing

Our July 2026 pass covered the site's front page, its premium package breakdowns, and its collection of common questions. Not one of the three states what agent service costs after the complimentary year runs out. When a price cannot be found in any of the places a buyer would sensibly check, it usually surfaces during checkout or in a phone call with a representative.

We could write a plausible amount into this paragraph and almost nobody would go verify it. We are not going to, because doing so would make this page guilty of the thing it is objecting to. The argument survives without the number anyway. In Mississippi an agent is a standing obligation that lasts as long as the entity does, so you are being asked to sign on to a recurring charge you have not been shown.

Now the reassuring part, and it applies no matter which company you end up hiring.

A concealed renewal rate only becomes dangerous where the door is expensive to walk through. Mississippi's door is cheap. The published fee schedule sets an agent change at $10, no exit penalty is attached, and no annual window restricts when you may do it. Whenever that quote finally lands, in an email or during a call, ten dollars is what it costs to decline. A hidden second-year price therefore drops from a real hazard down to an irritation, which is why this page can make its case in a level tone. Accept the free year if it fits your situation. Just know the price of refusing before you are asked.

Our Number, Legible Before You Buy

Ninety-nine dollars for the year. Ninety-nine dollars on every renewal notice after it. No call to anybody required to learn the second figure.

Included: a Mississippi registered office address that stands in for your home address on public filings, same-business-day scanning and emailing of anything served on us, a portal that keeps the full document history, and notice whenever the state sends something concerning your entity. Compliance reminders track the April 15 annual report deadline, a date the Secretary of State fixed by rule at 1 Miss. Code R. 7-2.1 and one that costs a domestic Mississippi LLC nothing to satisfy. Whatever this page skipped is probably answered in the FAQ.

Our own row gets audited the way theirs did. BetterLegal's published rate is $90 a year, under ours, which disqualifies us from claiming the smallest number in Mississippi. Ours ranks among the lower flat annual prices in this state, it is written down before you pay anything, and it still reads $99 in year nine.

Mississippi's Procedure for Replacing Inc Authority

The mechanics here are unusual enough to state plainly: this state maintains no change-of-agent form. The Secretary of State's business FAQ says as much, explaining that an agent change is processed as an amendment through the online portal instead. The fee schedule catalogues that amendment as F0010 at a cost of $10, and the Business Services Division handles it. Any instruction telling you to download and mail something is fifty-state boilerplate applied to a state that stopped accepting paper years ago.

That leaves the sequence, which is the only part carrying any risk. Engage the incoming agent, submit the amendment, verify the new appointment on the state's business search, and close the Inc Authority account last of all. Coverage stays continuous that way, because the outgoing agent remains listed until Mississippi processes the change. Cancel at the front of that sequence instead and you open the one gap this procedure allows. Our change of agent page covers what the portal asks for and what arrives afterward.

Easiest time to run it is during the free year, while no renewal quote is on the table waiting for a reply.
